Information for under 25s

If you are under 19 (or under 25 with learning disabilities) and have any questions or concerns about pregnancy or sexual health, the Dorset Sexual Health Team is here to support you.

We have a dedicated Young People's team, who can help with information, advice and accessing sexual health or contraception services. For further information on who can help, advice and accessing sexual health or contraception services click here.

Young Person’s Clinics

  • These clinics are for anyone aged from 13-17 years
  • You can walk-in or phone and make an appointment
  • You can call 0300 303 1948 or text Chat Sexual Health on 07312 263101
  • Appointments run from 14:30-18:00 on a Monday in west Dorset and from 14:30-18:00 on a Thursday in east Dorset
  • If you choose to walk-in, you will have to wait to be seen and we cannot guarantee that you will be seen on the day
  • This service is for all contraception, any symptoms of an STI, or if you would like to speak to someone about emergency contraception or unplanned pregnancy

It is important to have regular sexual health screening. Many people with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) have no symptoms. STIs can pass from one person to another during sex, especially if you don’t use a condom. It’s a good idea to get tested, especially if you have recently changed partners. You can now do this from the comfort of your own home. Click here to order your test.

13 to 24 year olds can also access free condoms through the 'C-Card' scheme, these can be accessed from lots of venues across Dorset (click here to find the nearest C-Card venue to you).
