Contraception is used to prevent unplanned pregnancy resulting from sexual intercourse. It is free for most people in the UK. With 15 methods to choose from, you can find one that suits you best. See our ‘contraception’ tab for more information on the different methods available, and book in to speak to one of our professionals.
The Asymptomatic Sexually Transmitted Infection screening service is a confidential nurse-led clinic. These clinics are for testing people who have NO symptoms of an STI. Symptoms include;
- Change or increase in discharge
- Burning/pain when passing urine
- Lumps on skin
- Ulcerated skin
- Redness to genital area
- Bleeding after sex or in between periods
- Abdominal pain especially during sex
- Swollen/painful testicles
- Lumps in testicles
If you have any symptoms, please book into the local Genito-urinary medicine/Department of Sexual Heath Clinic. If you attend with symptoms to an asymptomatic clinic you will not be tested, you will be referred to a different clinic.
